Bigiss believes that pricing his goods reasonably is whats best for the Project Gorgon community, and thus whats best for his business. Part of this means explaining why and how prices are set the way they and, and disclosing what kind of profit margins a metal slab business runs on. Here is that data for Metal Slabs. Ores and Crafting Metals are random bonuses from my surveys, and I do not have data to supply math behind their pricing, however I believe they are priced reasonably.
Overhead costs here are indicating the costs of the materials needed to survey. No time / labor has been factored into these prices, though the Slabs used to create each survey are factored in at their sale price as part of overhead. I do this because if I sold the slabs at my asking price, I would have those councils in hand... This also allows my math to be extremely complicated as sale price adjustments also actually effect the rest of my calculations.
Profit shown here is what Bigiss takes to the bank from the sale. This is what covers any unintended expenses (potions to make surveying easier, ect) and the costs associated with the labor intensive practices of mining.
Our data shows indicates that a minimum number of slabs per survey is 12 and a max is 35. For all our calculations, we use the Average of these two numbers, or 23.5 slabs per survey.
This is real data that I use for balancing the books of Bigiss' Bitchin' Metals and Milks, and I am sharing it here for full transparency!
